I use snipMate as addon to my favourite editor, vim. The Vim-addon-manager and the Vim-scipts package give you an easy way to administrate your plugins. For some reason, I could not find any valueable information about integrating additional vim scripts into vim-addons. That is why I am writing this little howto…

If you see only the options User Admin and Log in the Admin Tools menu of Typo3, there could be a quite simple reason for that: Ext Manager, DB check, Configuration and Install are hidden in the Draft workspace. So just change the workspace to live at the right upper end of your backend desktop and everything should be visible again.

You might know it: You search an extension with the Typo3 extension and get the message “No matching extensions found”. So you check the name again and try it another time. No change.

Today I moved my wordpress.com blog to my own server (Wordpress version 2.8.4). Of course, I wanted to ex- and import all my old articles, comments, images etc. Fortunatly, there is a special tool for that. Unfortunatly, this tool seems to be a kind of unstable. So I got the error
Remote file error: Remote file is incorrect size
But I found a little workaround for this.

I have to edit some code for a wiki. For Latex, Vim-Latex is a great help writing the stuff in my favourite editor, Vim. But it do not fits all my needs for editing Wikis, of course. That is why I have written a short snippet for the snipMate plugin: Wikipedia.snippets. You have to add this i.e. to your local vimrc directory: ~/.vim/snippets/ . The shortcuts are similar to the ones used in Vim-Latex. Please note: I add a snippet when I need it. So the file is really not complete or even finished!
On Wikipedia you can find a help page with basic instructions using Vim for editing Wiki text.
