Eleventh Real Time Linux Workshop
The OSADL Project Eleventh Real Time Linux Workshop has taken place in the Faculty of Computer Science, Technical University of Dresden from September 28th to 30th 2009. I count myself lucky to have been able to attend this meeting of experts from all over the world.
Up to three courses should be proceeded in parallel. Unfortunatly, at the beginning there was only one room available so a few very interessting presentations could not take place. Although some recitations where rethorical not very good, the majority of authors made a great job. Especially, the guys from IBM and Red Hat talked about very interesting topics and latest developments. But there also very good references to “basic” stuff like “Faithful Virtualization on a Real-Time Operating System” (Henning Schild, TU Dresden) or “Real-Time vs. Real-Fast: How to choose?” (Paul McKenney, IBM Linux Technology Center). Because of so many interesting presentations I have not visited one of the hands-on’s. But I am sure these were great, too.
Thank you for the opportunity to attend such a great event! Nigeria will host the Twelfth Real Time Linux Workshop in the next year. At the end, we have got a very nice invitation to the event by one of the organizers (second picture).
